I want to write something about how Romanian criminals use swords. We don’t have guns here, so whenever there is a raid of a criminal compound, the news always says “the police confiscated over two dozen swords.” I have a story brewing about how one day there a lot of police checkpoints in Bucharest because the leader of a clan was in the hospital and their rivals went after him Godfather 1 style with swords. I wasn’t there, and the story was told to me by an uber driver when I had to deliver some legal documents. It’s been taking some time to get right.

Dude, I will read the hell out of that story when it is ready. It already sounds so perfectly horrible, funny, and surreal all at once.
Are the swords usually just katanas, or a variety of weapon types?
